Wood molding was installed around the inside of the sliding doors.

Jen then worked at staining the molding.

Scott began work on installing a set of all-weather speakers by carefully removing the shingles from the roof directly above each speaker.

He then drilled through the roof and the wall header.  Due to the angle of the roof at this point, this was the easiest way to get a wire into the attic.

Next, a hole was drilled on the outside wall where each speaker would be.  A string was then routed through the hole, up through the wall, and out the hole in the roof.  Once this was done, speaker cables were pulled through with the string, tucked into the attic, and the shingles replaced.

The two speaker wires were pulled through the attic to an outlet in the ceiling of the garage.  A shelf would later be mounted here with a stereo receiver for use with the new speakers.

One of the finished speakers, mounted to the outside wall.
