The header installed on the ceiling caused the rail to be lowered to the point of not allowing the door to open. So, the procedure was halted and reversed to the point of installing the header. The header was reinstalled on the wall, as shown at the left. Notice the bell wires hanging over the door spring. |
With the new header in place, the bell wires were reconnected, and the motor was attached to the ceiling with mounting brackets. An extension cord was then used to test the unit. |

The opener ran on an extension cord draped across the garage ceiling until an outlet could be installed near the opener, as shown below at the left. The opportunity was taken at that time to also install a 30-foot outlet reel, as shown below at the right. | |
